General Summary:

In conjunction with Dell EMC Inside Sales Reps (ISRs) and Dell EMC Business Partners, our Systems Engineers identify, qualify and own the technical recommendation for Dell EMC solutions during the sales cycle that drive Dell EMC revenue.

Provide virtual / remote and onsite technical expertise in support of pre-sales activities. Assist in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions for Enterprise, Commercial and Small Business customers. Technical emphasis is on hardware capabilities, software and applications requirements and systems integration for Dell EMC storage, Data Protection Suite, Hyper-Converged and Converged Infrastructure, cloud and virtualized solutions.

Conduct customer presentations, demonstrations and respond to RFIs / RFPs. Routinely use webex style and on-site sessions to demonstrate Dell EMC solutions via Dell EMC vLab.

Prepare and present Dell EMC solutions in Webinar / webex style sessions as a part of Inside Sales demand generation programs to build sales pipeline.

Assist in the creation, development, and delivery of technical and solution training content to be used with sales team.

Roles, Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Assist Dell EMC Inside Sales Reps to identify and qualify the customer's business and technology problems.

  • Lead technical discussions with the customer and Dell EMC Partners to design the right SOLUTION - not just a product - to resolve the customer’s BUSINESS and TECHNOLOGY problems.

  • Create a before and after vision of the customer's technical environment. The “before” should include a list of the customer's technology and business challenges. The “after” should include a list of the solution benefits and how they solve the business problems.

  • Guide the Dell EMC partner to create technical quotes on more complex Dell EMC deals and check the quotes for technical accuracy on all basic deals.

  • Qualify all components of the solutions thru EMC E-Lab.

  • Complete RPQs as needed.

  • Provide any Competitive positioning needed to win the deal.

  • Provide the customer with whitepapers and presentations and demonstrations to support your solution (typically Unity, Compellent, Isilon, XtremIO, VPLEX, vBlock, and VxRail, Data Protection Suite (Data Domain, Avamar, Networker, Data Protection Advisor), and virtualization solutions to the Enterprise and Commercial business segments.

  • Conduct customer presentations and respond to RFIs / RFPs.

  • Routinely use webex style sessions to demonstrate EMC solutions via EMC vLab.

  • Prepare and present Dell EMC solutions in Webinar / webex style sessions as a part of Inside Sales demand generation programs to build sales pipeline.

  • Hold one’s self accountable to build and maintain strong working relationships with Dell EMC Field Systems Engineers (presales) and Partner Systems Engineers (presales) to promote frequent communication, technical and industry knowledge sharing.

  • Proactively approach Inside Sales Reps to attend sales calls and territory planning.
