Job summary

Guide sales activities involving our original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Channel Account Manager to join us in Seoul, South Korea. In this role, you will be responsible for selling our entire suite of offerings across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat JBoss Middleware, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat services. You'll identify, nurture, and close opportunities with partners, manage sales forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track commercial space customer data. As a Channel Account Manager, you will define and implement a local partner strategy following Red Hat's overall partner strategy while managing and developing the relationship between Red Hat and its advanced business partners to maximize revenue growth.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Enable target OEM partners to promote revenue based on a yearly business plan with each partner

  • Establish Red Hat’s offerings as the leading technology solution within OEM partners

  • Increase partners' Red Hat and Red Hat JBoss Middleware business using Red Hat's technical, sales, and operational resources

  • Understand and integrate Red Hat’s sales and marketing initiatives to support and leverage partner go-to-market strategies

  • Support partners in finding, building, managing, and closing their business opportunities

  • Assist partners in validating business opportunities and sales cycles

  • Build and promote relationships at various management levels within your assigned business partners

  • Use the existing tools, programs, and offerings for solutions providers and business partners efficiently; encourage use with your assigned partners to maximize their Red Hat-related revenue

  • Own and meet a revenue quota; perform regular forecasting and overview about your assigned partners' opportunities

  • Apply your understanding of IT infrastructure components, e.g., servers, server virtualization, and operating systems, as well as management systems, to manage the same IT infrastructure components

  • Familiarity with Java middleware software and the development tools to support Java

Required skills

  • 5-10 years of sales experience working with partners or system integrators (SIs)

  • 5-10 years of successful solutions software direct or indirect sales experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good presentation skills

  • Good negotiation skills with the ability to guide and close sales opportunities; experience with solutions selling methodologies

  • Ability to work with senior management and partner sales teams

  • Ability to build long-term strategic relationships and work as part of a dynamic team while demonstrating flexibility, autonomy, and initiative

  • Fluent language skills in English
