Position Scope:

Responsible for developing, deploying and leading the activation of Clorox strategies that deliver financial objectives and superior in-store presence for all categories / brands sold in-country.

Specifically, the Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for the development of an integrated sales plan, serving as the customer voice for new item initiatives, the AMPS objectives and priorities and the resources necessary to achieve the objectives.


Sales Planning, including:

  • Developing the 18-Month 3-D integrated sales plan for CDU-SBU-Local brands

  • Providing sales plan input for Customer Business Planning Process

  • Leading the development, tracking, and prioritization AMPS objectives

  • Leading new item sales launch plans

  • Providing customer requirements into product development process

  • Developing the selling tools/materials necessary to deliver the plan

  • Communicating sales inputs as needed into S&OP process

  • Developing and managing select customization projects

Leads the CAS organization and efforts, including:

  • Managing customer reviews, including analysis, calendars and POGs. Tracks CAS progress with customers.

  • Providing sales analysis on base and customer business, shopper insights and expertise on shelving and assortment

  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities proactively

Responsible for cross-functionally developing and executing the in-store marketing plan including:

  • Creating customer requirements for POP materials and designing special display vehicles

  • Partnering with marketing to create initiative platforms

  • Coordinating promotions, providing direction and materials for demonstrators, working

with agencies

  • Partnering with account managers on plans and follows up on execution

Responsible for managing various aspects of sales administration including:

  • Responsible for trade funds management and associated tracking or reporting

  • Responsible for providing sales materials and compliance: specs, price lists, SOX,

regulatory #s, GTIN, etc.

  • Setting priorities and providing the tools for merchandisers to deliver objectives

  • Training sales capabilities


  • Typically requires 5+ years of FMCG experience -- with prior experience managing National Accounts plus Category Management responsibility

  • Internal plan development and external sales management experience desired

  • Experience developing business plans

Skills and Abilities:

  • Intermediate / Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Intermediate / Advanced Skills in Aztec, Nielsen

  • Confident and experienced with using computer/technological systems

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent administrative skills

  • Strong planning and time management ability to meet tight deadlines

  • An ability to operate effectively with senior management and staff and exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality when required.

  • Strong customer strategic and operational knowledge

  • Multi-functional understanding and influence

  • Strong conceptual selling skills

  • Category management skills

  • Business planning process expertise

Education Level/Degree:

  • Degree in Marketing or other related disciplines; MBA desirable
