IBM [The Weather Company] Meteorologist_사원급 in SEOUL, South Korea

  • Work closely with sales teams in Korea and Asia/Pacific

  • Must have a KMA Meteorologist License

  • Use the TWC HoTL tool to monitor forecasts for potential impacts to customer assets involving significant weather events including severe thunderstorms, snow, ice and wind/tropical systems

  • Use the TWC Max and HoTL tools to create graphical products to help explain and compliment verbal and written forecasts

  • Produce advanced level aviation forecasts mainly for terminal weather conditions but also for the arrival/departure airspace covering the 0-72 hour domain.

  • Provide trend analysis and forecast briefings for aviation dispatchers and traffic management personnel.

  • Actively collaborate with other meteorologists on Global weather issues particularly in the 0-48 hour time frame. Specific focus on forecast trends through 24 hours and on any developing or potential severe weather events

  • Generate system wide risk forecasts for potential impacts to customer assets involving significant weather events including severe thunderstorm, snow and ice, and wind/ tropical systems.

  • Deliver operational forecast content consistently and accurately within rigid time constraints

  • Fluent in Korean and English

  • Licensed as a Meteorologist by KMA

  • Bachelor’s degree in meteorology or related science with a higher degree a bonus.

  • 2 years of relevant experience in weather related field, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities

  • Background and/ or previous experience creating written and graphical weather briefings for Asia and Pacific preferred
