Main Purpose:

  • To provide leadership and direction in the strategic business analysis,marketing of new and existing products, and planning/execution of customer education programforall business units across RTGinKorea.

  • To produce strategic plan for surgical synergies across RTG business units

  • Work with theRTGLeadership, marketingand educationteams inSBU/APACto help drive consistentmethods programs throughoutKorea.

  • To identify unmet clinical needs and business opportunities to expand long term revenue growth in line with company Vision.

  • To develop market entry strategy for Trauma and incubate the business with business leadership

·Ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards (including ISO13485) are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact

Key Accountabilities:

·Participate in and establish strategic direction for theRTGbusiness.Identify, investigate and recommend businessdirection in accordance with strategic plan, and with the consideration of sales management input.

·Direct marketing planning, analysis, research, as well as promotion and market development activities for the achievement of short-term and long-term business objectives.

  • Manage and lead amedical educationteam focused on identifying, developing and supportingtherapy andproceduretrainingand beresponsible for developing strategies that result in consistent customer education to achieve desired business result

·Determine organizational objectives and interpretcompany policies, to include compliance, legal and regulatory as they relate tocustomereducation programs

·Consistently and effectively communicate business/marketing/educationstrategies and directions tosales management, and work with them to implement.

·Work proactively and directly with the salespeople to identify account specific marketing/customer educationneeds to achieve account development objectives.

  • To lead, coach and motivate theRTGmarketingand MedEdteamin Koreaand introduce and drive change initiatives aimed at delivering higher customer satisfaction and more effective and efficient internal processes; work with theAPAC and SBUmarketing teams in order to help drive consistency in marketing methods programs across the region

  • Meet with key customers regularly to assess futurecustomerneeds, as well as to maintain positive relationships with key opinion leaders. Should also identify and recruit appropriate new KOL’s to support product strategies and enhance understanding of customer requirements and market potential.

·Optimizemarketing by planning and running market (referring physician/implanting physician/patient/payer) awareness campaigns and promotional activities, integrating market analysis and research.

·DevelopKorea RTGreimbursement strategy, together with theCATeam, for each business/therapy. Evaluate the effectiveness of promotion and advertising programs and make recommendations for improvements

·To develop market entry strategy for new business (eg.Trauma) and lead the business during incubation period.

·Maintain necessary contact with regional and global businesspersonnel, patient groups, industry associations and government representatives to achieve the business objectives.

·Observe all health and safety policies and procedures and take all reasonable care that actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of others.

·Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s Mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.

·Comply with Medtronic’s Finance and Legal policies and procedures, respond to both Internal and External Audit enquiries in a timely manner, and ensure follow-up on Action Items to address Audit recommendations.

Experience and Knowledge:

· Min. 10 years of experience in medical equipment/device or healthcare industry in sales/marketing function

· Min. 5 years of experience in people management

·Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.

·Required knowledge

·Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.

·Sound working knowledge of WHS (Workplace Health Safety) / Risk Management / Workers Compensation legislation and Principles.

Qualifications (pre-requisite or preferred):

  • Bachelor degree,preferably inmedical/biomedical or engineering field.

  • Master degree in above or marketing, business administration preferred.
