Oracle APAC Consulting is responsible for selling and delivering services through the deployment of solutions to meet customers’ business demands. Consultants within the EMEA and APAC Consulting Project Management Office are highly skilled Project/Programme Managers with a proven track record in delivering innovative cloud solutions to enable full business benefit realization, for major accounts. We are having a requirement for additional Project/Programme Managers who have excellent senior customer facing skills, coupled with delivery experience utilizing Oracle products in a multinational context.

  • Lead full programme delivery for large client initiatives.

  • Primary interfaces with senior client stakeholders, frequently to the main programme or customer boards, regarding

programme status, budget, scope and issues.

  • Working with the account teams to scope required effort and define appropriate timelines.

  • Ensuring client satisfaction through successful realisation of business benefits and address business drivers.

  • Providing effective communication of programme status, plans, issues, timelines, and budgets, at all levels internally and externally.

  • Accountable for the programme’s financial performance.

  • Exercise scope management/control respecting the client, team, and partners. Whilst developing appropriate risk and contingency plans.

  • Assure process compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements.

  • Provide leadership to manage activities for cross functional teams and coordinate implementation plans with internal and external resources (domestic/international teams)

Expected qualification:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills a must, whilst operating at senior

levels internally and externally.

  • Ability to work as part of a team, yet provide leadership in complex problems.

  • Logical approach to problem solving and excellent eye for detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and create organisational harmony whilst ensuring programme deliverables are met.

  • Proven track record of meeting programme timeliness/deliverables and attention to detail, process, deadlines and quality results.

  • Proven track record of working with virtual teams of different cultures establishing distributed delivery

  • Demonstrated success with customers during initiative assessment, programme planning, development, training,

implementation and realisation.

  • With at least five years experience, as a Programme Manager/Director in the delivery of international programmes (e.g. more than 5 countries)

  • Required education and experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Project Management Qualifications, e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, etc.

  • Extensive experience in a customer-facing role, preferably with a software professional services organization or

consulting background

  • Exposure to international project and/or programme delivery.

  • Experience in managing large consulting or services engagements.

  • Understanding of the cloud paradigm and could delivery.

  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environment with both internal and external factors.

  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills – comfortable presenting as

developing complex technical solutions.

  • Willingness for extensive travel as this is a key requirement of the role.

Responsible for guiding the successful implementation of an integrated business solution ensuring high quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies and policies while adhering to contractual obligations, minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure. As a position of professional influence, this individual frequently operates at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet very complex customer needs. Exercises creativity and independent judgment in identifying and resolving major issues and risks impacting project success. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams. As a thought leader and trusted advisor, effectively influences decisions at the leadership level of customer organizations. Ensures customer deliverables are acceptable, and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Enables business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise. Manages the scope of medium to large-scale projects, and accounts with varying levels of complexity.

10 years of experience relevant to this position including 3 years of project management experience. Demonstrated

ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity.

Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Selling skills preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. PMI certification preferred. Ability to travel as needed.

Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.

8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.
