ASML CS Field Applications Engineer in Hwasung, South Korea

Introduction

The Customer Support Organization is responsible for the installation, qualification, repair and maintenance of the ASML systems at customer site and is responsible for the necessary transfer of know-how to the customer. Local sited Customer Support branches perform these tasks for the customers within the specific region.

Job Mission

Support customers with application engineering by providing extensive knowledge of photolithography and IC manufacturing to assist in solving complex problems and to advance the use of ASML products. Define new and advanced applications and provide input for future improvements to ASML products.

Job Description
  • Customer support with application engineering by providing extensive of photolithography and IC manufacturing to assist in solving complex problems and to advance the use of ASML products. - Define problems for customer and provide support to customers in resolving issues/problems to help them maximize the performance and use of ASML products to satisfy customer. - Generate reports, technical briefs or memos documenting activity in order for field applications engineers to learn - Meet with customers and/or manager to maintain two way of commitment to keep all involved and affected parties informed of progress - Define new and advanced applications and provide input for future improvements to ASML products.
Education
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Physics, Optics - Experience related area 39 years experience.
Experience
  • This position requires 3-9 years in the semiconductor or related industry and an in-depth understanding of ASML products and operations, including extensive experience in high demanding environment - EUV experience would be preferential
Personal skills
  • Strong knowledge about optical lithography, and semiconductor processes - Requires excellent communication skills as well as ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers - Eagerness to learn and expand the skill set and high stress tolerance - Have excellent spoken and written in English - Proficient software skills in C/C++ in a UNIX environment.

Other Information

Work performed indoors in a cleanroom environment, and involves sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing. Requires lifting up to 15 lbs to a height of 2 feet, and pushing and pulling up to 15 lbs. Requires use of keyboard, telephone, computer/electronic equipment, and tools. Finger dexterity, close proximity work, speaking clarity, and good hearing and color vision are useful. Position involves exposure to hazardous fumes, voltages, moving parts, and UV radiation. Mental requirements include searching for solutions and drawing conclusions.
